In The Know On Flow

A Note From Kevin Marsh

33In case you missed it, 2014 has been dubbed by many to be the Year of the "Internet of Things". Simply stated the Internet of Things refers to the coming connection of many, many everyday devices - well beyond the computers and smart phones that make up the lion's share of connections today. Imagine anything (maybe everything) electronic being accessible and controllable with a remote internet connection. Lamps, ovens, lawn sprinklers, you name it. To me it's just another reminder of how far ahead of the curve we were when we launched Data Delivery Services over ten years ago. Our ever expanding fleet of sewer flow meters have been posting data to secure web pages, sending text message alerts, and simplifying our customers' lives since well before the smart phone revolution.

That doesn't mean like others we're stuck in the past with decade-old solutions. In fact, no other provider of sewer flow monitoring services has rolled out as many innovative and effective solutions as we have over the last two years. In 2014 we're doing even more. Look for new sensor solutions that will expand your current monitoring network as well as exciting new ways to share your data across third-party platforms. Our 95% data uptime guarantee is already the best in the industry but we continue to invest in infrastructure to push actual performance to as close to 100% as possible. Hundreds of US cities know this already. Maybe 2014 should be the year you get on board and simplify your flow monitoring with Hach Data Delivery Services.

Until next month...
