In The Know On Flow

A Note From Dave Brown

Spring Flow Monitoring Season is upon us. My spring project has turned into a backyard irrigation system. Hey, I AM in the water business. Surely I can install a simple DIY backyard sprinkler system. So, I am off to a good start but this DIY is gobbling up my weekends.

Admittedly, I am a bit of a lawn freak. Below are a few photos showing my progress. My new goal is completion before the spring rains. For the curious, I am using the Rain Bird system.

In other news, my NCAA Men's Basketball bracket is completely BUSTED. Hach Flow entered a "winner" in both the Kevin Marsh (March) Madness Basketball and ESPN pools. Wow - Michigan State, University of Cincinnati, Xavier and a host of others sunk our brackets. It is March Madness for sure. Hope you're enjoying the games...

Conference season is about to kick-off in full swing! Please stop by the Hach booth at your local conference and speak to our experts. I am planning to attend Texas Water and the Collection Systems Conference in Atlanta, so if you're at either of those make sure to come say hi!

Here we go...

Dublin, Ohio Saves with DDS

After years of searching, Dublin finds their answer.

Bill Grubaugh,Operations Administrator with the City of Dublin (OH) Streets and Utilities Operations, has been working in collection systems for over 27 years. In that time, he's tried a lot of different methods to efficiently and effectively collect solid flow data. In the past year, just as he's set to retire, he discovered Data Delivery Services (DDS) and is sold that it's the right approach. "I have nothing but praise for this system," he said.
