In The Know On Flow
A Note From Dave Brown
Big, Huge, Exciting News! I am so excited to be Hach's new Director of Flow Sales! Many flow service providers, Hach manufacturer reps, engineering consultants, mentors, past employers, friends and family have sent messages of congratulations. Thank you for reaching out with your support and positive feedback.
My sewer flow monitoring career began 20 years ago with Pitometer Associates in Cobb County, Georgia. We installed Marsh McBirney FLO-TOTES and the brand new (at the time) American Sigma 950 Bubbler. I still remember dropping my flashlight into the sewer and having to go retrieve it. Sound familiar to anyone else?
Now I have the talented Hach Flow Products and Services team, along with 23 highly-qualified independent manufacturer representatives, to make sure we never "drop the flashlight." This team is working smarter and more efficiently for our customers, leading to successful projects...and that's what matters.
Here we go!

Data Delivery Services in the news
You're probably aware that Hach is headquartered in Loveland, Colorado. As such, many of us live in a string of towns and cities tucked against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, including the beautiful city of Boulder.
Recently the Boulder newspaper, The Daily Camera, highlighted the city's efforts to improve their collection system, especially in light of the "hundred year flood" we had in September of 2013. While Data Delivery Systems (DDS) isn't mentioned by name in the article, the flow monitoring program is and those of us behind the scenes know that program is based on DDS.
DDS is a highly efficient flow monitoring service where, for a fixed monthly fee, Hach provides the City of Boulder with all of the equipment, data transmission, and technical support they need to acquire accurate flow data. This data is delivered in real-time so the City can immediately perform analysis. Hach even manages all equipment monitoring and maintenance resources as well.
It's a pleasure to see our products and services being utilized right here in our own backyard.
